Connection Fiber residential plans include unlimited data with no caps and no overage charges.
Reasonable network management
Connection Fiber uses standard, reasonable network management techniques to maintain a healthy, secure, and performant network.
Congestion management
If short-term congestion occurs, Connection Fiber may take reasonable steps to maintain performance for all customers. We do not throttle, shape, or discriminate against lawful traffic on the basis of content or service.
Security protection
The network is protected against malicious traffic, denial-of-service attacks, and other threats using common, industry-standard practices.
Device and WiFi limitations
Performance over WiFi depends on your router, device standards, distance, and interference. Older devices, congested wireless channels, and physical obstructions can lower the speeds you experience over WiFi.
Performance variables
Actual download and upload speeds are influenced by:
- Customer equipment (router, device standards, cabling)
- WiFi conditions (range, interference, channel selection)
- Network routes between your home and external destinations
- Performance of the destination service
Customer equipment impacts
For best performance, use modern equipment, place the router centrally and elevated, and use wired connections for performance-sensitive applications when possible.
